1898-03-17 (120lbs) Patsy Haley drew 20 Oscar Gardner, Olympic AC, Buffalo, New York, USA. Billed for the American 120lbs title, Haley was at the front after ten rounds before Gardner got going to drop his rival with a left to the body in the 11th. For several rounds Haley was on the run, being dropped at least six more times until picking it up again in the final quarter. Announced as a draw, the result proved nothing.t, should not be recognised as a champion due to the poor class of the entries.
