1898-11-15 (98lbs) Tom Snow w co 16 (20) Frank Morcombe, New Adelphi Club, The Strand, London, England. The Mirror of Life fight report stated afterwards that had Morcombe (97½) closed his gloves when hitting Snow (96½) the contest would have ended early, but even taking that into account he was walking it until the 16th got underway. How Snow had stayed in the fight for so long only he knows, but after about two minutes of close-quarter fighting he found the punch to put Morcombe down for the full count, much to the amazement of all in attendance.

Although there was no title billing, Snow based his 98lbs English title claim on his win.
