1898-12-29 (110lbs) Jimmy Barry drew 20 Casper Leon, Tri-City AC, Claus Groth Hall, Davenport, Iowa, USA. Referee: Malachy Hogan. Billed for the world 110lbs title, this was the sixth meeting between the pair, and once again it was hard-fought and extremely well contested. There was little between them after Barry’s extra power was contained by the more skilful Leon, who claimed the title on the result.

For Barry, it was his penultimate fight before announcing his retirement in September 1899.
