1899-08-17 (126lbs) Tommy White w pts 15 Billy O’Donnell, Peavey Grand Opera House, Sioux City, Iowa, USA. O’Donnell (120¾) was outclassed at every stage by White (125), who was content to gain the points while landing blows at will for much of the time. Following this, White continued to claim the American 126lbs title despite losing to George Dixon at the weight some five weeks earlier. Interestingly, the Sioux City Journal reported the scheduled distance to be 15 rounds, not 20 as shown in the Ring Record Book.
