16 September (110lbs) Casper Leon drew 20 Danny Dougherty, Greenwood AC, Brooklyn, NYC, New York, USA. Referee: Edward Dougherty. Still claiming the 110lbs title despite his loss to Patsy Donovan, this was another billed title fight for Leon at that weight. Even up until the tenth round before Leon started to throw some straight punches from both hands that almost put Dougherty out, the latter began to slip to the floor repeatedly to avoid further punishment. When the referee called it a draw, it was only the large police presence that averted a riot.
