1899-12-05 (140lbs) Joe Walcott w co 6 (25) Bobby Dobbs, Broadway AC, Manhattan, NYC, New York, USA. Made at 140lbs, the winner was recognised by many as the leading man in America at the weight following his victory, but seemingly didn’t make that poundage again. The fight itself saw Dobbs knocked down repeatedly in every round before a terrific left to the body, followed by a right to the jaw, saw him counted out.
