1900-03-16 (124lbs) [[Dave Sullivan]] w pts 25 [[Kid Broad]], Broadway AC, Brooklyn, NYC, New York, USA. Referee: Charlie White. Regardless of a lack of billing, Sullivan took over Broad’s claim at 124lbs following his victory at the weight and in doing so gained revenge for a previous defeat. This time Sullivan was in prime condition and from the 16th round he began to take over as Broad started to hang on. Although Broad made a supreme effort to make it to the final bell, by the end of the 25th he was practically helpless as the punches rained in on him.
