1901-05-21 (106lbs) Harry Slough w pts 15 (15) Jim Fay, Mafeking Gym, Leicester, England. Billed for the English (also Midlands given) 106lbs title, but contested over two-minute rounds, at the end of the 15th the judges, who could not agree on a decision, ordered an extra round to be fought. However, when Fay, who had already paid a forfeit for being well over the weight, refused the decision was awarded to Slough. It had been nip-and-tuck all the way with never much between the two men.
