21 May (106lbs) Harry Slough w pts 15 (15) Jim Fay, Mafeking Gym, Leicester, England. Billed for the English (also Midlands given) 106lbs title, but contested over two-minute rounds, at the end of the 15th the judges could not agree on a decision and ordered an extra round to be fought. However, Fay, who had already paid a forfeit for being well over the weight, refused and the decision was awarded to Slough. It had been nip and tuck all the way with never much between the two men and no knockdowns incurred.
