1901-10-28 (106lbs) Harry Slough w co 3 (12) Herbert Gill, Lynn Street Circus, West Hartlepool, England. This was the final of a (Northern) championship belt competition at 106lbs. Having beaten Jack Jones in the semi-final Slough stepped up to take on Gill in the final. Gill had beaten John Johnson earlier but had no chance against the clever Slough. Shaken up in the opening two sessions, Gill was put to sleep in the third round after taking a right to the jaw.
