1901-10-29 (106lbs) Harry Slough w co 4 (15) Ernie Brady, Mafeking Gym, Leicester, England. Referee: Charlie Pearce. Billed for the English 106lbs title regardless of it being contested over two-minute rounds, Slough created a record when taking part in two English championship fights in successive days. Having travelled down from Hartlepool overnight, Slough had no intention of hanging around and he went work immediately in what the Mirror of Life described as a very hot go. The paper went on to say that Slough proved to be cleverer than his rival and continued to add to his lead despite the pace being a warm one. By the fourth round Slough was well on top and he finished Brady off with a right to the jaw, the same punch that he had stowed Herbert Gill away with a day earlier.
