1901-12-06 (128lbs) [[Harry Lyons]] drew 20 [[Eddie Lenny]], Eureka AC, Germania Maennerchor Hall, Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Referee: George Mantz. Both men made 126lbs for this one, thus putting Lyons’ 128lbs American title claim at risk. The taller Lyons had agreed to put Lenny out inside 20 rounds, but the clever Lenny was too cute for that to happen and there was never much between them. From start to finish it was a succession of left leads that were either blocked or missed the target and both men finished almost as fresh as when they began. The most significant punches of the fight came in the 20th, Lenny taking a cracking right to the jaw followed by a right uppercut to the neck and being forced to hang on to the bell.
