10 February (106/108lbs) [[Charlie Exall]] w pts 20 [[Jack Walker]], [[Ginnett’s Circus, Newcastle]], England. Referee: [[Ed Plummer]]. Billed for the English 108lbs title, Exall (105) claimed the title by forfeit even though it was known that Walker (111) could never have made the weight and had released his title claim prior to the fight. Starting well, Walker soon had Exall over in the opening session from a right swing to the jaw but the latter responded by forcing the contest from thereon. In the fifth, Exall had Walker down from a right to the head and although the latter was dazed he came back solidly without ever being able to lead his rival. Following the fight, Exall stated that he now held both the English 106lb and 108lbs titles.
