1902-06-24 (150lbs) Tom Woodley w pts 10 Jim Styles, New Adelphi Club, The Strand, London, England. Billed for the 150lbs English middleweight championship belt to mark the Coronation, and cut from 15 rounds to ten, Woodley set a fast pace right from the opening bell. Although Styles responded with splendid executions of his own at times he had difficulty maintaining the pace set by Woodley, and tiring fast he was dropped in the ninth and tenth prior to the verdict going against him.

Despite challenging all England at 150lbs, Woodley, who had weighed in at around 144lbs, remained in the lower weight class.
