1902-10-22 (110lbs) Jack Walker w pts 15 Jim Kenrick, St Andrew’s Hall, Westminster, London, England. Referee: Edward Humphreys. Billed for the English 110lbs title, both men being inside the limit at the 1pm weigh-in, it was a spirited affair with Walker’s extra reach and added power eventually standing him in good stead. Although making the early running, Kenrick was dropped by a right to the body in the fourth and slipped down twice in the sixth as Walker came more into it. By the ninth it was clear to see that the strength was with Walker, who was using his right more effectively than before, and when Kenrick’s right eye went in the 13th and he was dropped twice in the final session that did it for him.
