22 October (115lbs) Tommy Feltz drew 20 Danny Dougherty, Athletic Club, Savannah, Georgia, USA. Referee: Shorty Jenkins. With both men inside the articled 115lbs, as per the Savanah Morning News, this fight involved Feltz’s claim at the weight and the decision was based on the latter being warned twice for low blows. It was not a popular decision as Dougherty, having been knocked out by Feltz in the fourth round at the same venue on 1 October, avoided mixing it whenever possible and was in big trouble on several occasions. While continuing to fight in the 115lbs weight class, there would be no more championship chances for Dougherty from thereon.
