1903-01-17 (108lbs) Charlie Exall drew 15 Jim Kenrick, Ginnett’s Circus, Newcastle, England. Referee: Sam Francis. Billed for the English 108lbs title, Exall (106) was very aggressive in the opening six rounds, scoring well with the straight left and right-hand drives to the body, while Kenrick (108) was taking stock. In the 11th, Kenrick burst into action with telling force from both hands that left Exall in some distress, and the remaining rounds saw him well on top. The last session saw Kenrick punch Exall all over the ring, only to be given a share of the verdict at the end of the contest.
