1903-11-10 (133lbs) Jimmy Britt w pts 20 Charley Sieger, Mechanics’ Pavilion, San Francisco, California, USA. Billed for the ‘white’ 133lbs lightweight title, it was all one-way traffic as Britt led from start to finish against an opponent who was a well-known iron man. All Sieger seemed to be able to do was cover up and occasionally block punches, but eventually the clever Britt put him down with a left to the head in the 18th. Although unable keep his rival on the floor for long, it was a good win for Britt, who fought scientifically throughout, while conserving his previously injured right hand.
