1904-04-04 (140lbs) Bobby Dobbs w co 8 (20) Jack Nelson, Ginnett’s Circus, Newcastle, England. Although no weights were given both men were thought to be on the 140lbs mark, and this time round Dobbs made a much better start than he did two nights earlier. Nelson again fought bravely, but Dobbs was his master. Then, in the eighth round, after the local man had got up at ‘nine’ following a punch to the wind he was taken out by a right to the body and a terrific left to the jaw.
