25 June (108lbs) Harry Slough w co 14 (15) Charlie Exall, Lynn Street Circus, West Hartlepool, England. Billed for the English 108lbs title, with no weights announced some reports stated that it had been for the 110lbs title. Confirmation of that came in the shape of a return fight between the pair, booked for 25 July at 108lbs that had to be cancelled. The fight itself saw Exall doing most of the leading, with Slough countering keenly, and most of the rounds were generally exciting with varying results until the 14th. It was in that session that Slough cleverly manoeuvered Exall into range and a solid blow to the jaw sent the latter crashing to the boards to be counted out.
