1905-02-27 (112lbs) Jim Kenrick w pts 15 Boyo Driscoll, NSC, Covent Garden, London, England. Billed for the English 112lbs title, and a championship belt, Driscoll was quickly away with the left jab opening Kenrick up and negating much of the latter’s work. However, Kenrick persevered, eventually picking up the pace with two-handed attacks, mainly to the body, as Driscoll tired. Although there was little between them after ten rounds, from that point on it was Kenrick who did the lion’s share of the work as the fatigued Driscoll began to hold on more and more, and the points decision in his favour was well deserved.
