1905-05-15 (120lbs) Ted Moore w pts 15 Jim Williams, NSC, Covent Garden, London, England. Referee: Eugene Corri. Advertised as being for the English 120lbs title, both lads looked to be in good condition before the bell and it was a very good contest all the way through. At the halfway stage there was nothing really between them, but once Moore (118½) had got his straight left going and started to force the fight more the verdict eventually went his way. Although Moore, who challenged the world on winning, was seen as the English 120lbs champion by many, at the end of 1906 after challenging all and sundry to no effect he was fighting at a higher weight.
