1905-10-12 (112lbs) Jim Kenrick w co 8 (15) Charlie Exall, Christian Street Gymnastic Club, Liverpool, England. Billed for both the world and English 112lbs title despite being contested over two-minute rounds, it was generally slow with Exall doing more than his fair share of holding in the early stages. After the referee had warned that he would stop the contest if there was not an improvement in the boxing, Kenrick, warming to the task, put Exall down in the seventh with a left to the body. Although Exall just about survived the ordeal he was unable to keep Kenrick at bay for too long, and in the eighth he was counted out having taken another solid blow downstairs.

Immediately after the contest the winner was challenged by Young Bill Smith, who was claiming the 108lbs title.
