1905-11-02 (116lbs) Owen Moran w co 3 (20) Al Fellows, Christian Street Gymnastic Club, Liverpool, England. Referee: Tom Gamble. Thought to have been articled to decide the world 116lbs title, it was not really recognised as such due to it being contested over two-minute rounds. That did not stop Moran from treating it seriously though, the American being outclassed right from the off and almost out at the end of the second before being saved by the bell. Thereafter it was all over bar the shouting, and Moran, wasting no further time, sent Fellows down to be counted out after putting all of his effort into a terrific right to the jaw.
