1906-02-22 (122lbs) Owen Moran w co 4 (20) Cockney Cohen, Christian Street Gymnastic Club, Liverpool, England. Despite being contested over two-minute rounds, with Moran (119) and Cohen (121) both being inside 122lbs it assumed some importance at that weight and was taken seriously. Right from the opening bell the men mixed it up and while being warned there were still plenty of violations of the rules, especially at close quarters. The third round saw a lot of body punches handed out, both fighters being in their element, but in the fourth it was clear that Moran was having the better of it, and after a heavy exchange Cohen went down on one knee where he remained for the count.

Despite losing, with Moran extremely busy and unavailable, before too long Cohen was once again challenging all England at the weight.

On 15 May, the Sporting Life produced a list of champions, listing Charlie Lampey as being the best man at 122lbs.
