1906-03-19 (158lbs) Pat O'Keefe w pts 15 Mike Crawley, NSC, Covent Garden, London, England. Referee: J. H. Douglas. Billed for the English 158lbs title, the taller O’Keefe (157½) was soon exploiting Crawley’s distaste for body punches, and in the fourth the latter was cautioned for going down without being hit. Although the plodding Crawley (157½) did better as the fight wore on he was unable to break O’Keefe down. Even though the action petered out in the final third as both tired the Canning Town man had done more than enough to be awarded the decision.
