1906-07-04 (145lbs) [[Honey Mellody]] w co 3 (15) [[Willie Lewis]], Lincoln AC, Chelsea, Massachusetts, USA. Referee: Bill Daly. Made at 145lbs involving Mellody’s ‘white’ title claim at the weight, it was fast and furious while it lasted, but ended suspiciously. Lewis, who had been made to work off half a pound of excess, dropped Mellody in the second round before body punching took its toll and led to him being knocked out in the third, after being decked by a left to the head.
