1907-02-15 (104lbs) Bert Chatterton w co 6 (20) Albert Cocksedge, Harry Cullis’ Monument Road Gym, Birmingham, England. Billed for the English 104lbs title, it was only the 12th bout of Chatterton’s career. The tall youngster showed excellent potential when coming back strongly with straight lefts in the fifth round, having been outscored in the initial four sessions, and by the sixth he had rapidly made up lost ground. Now bursting with confidence, Chatterton put Cocksedge down three times before the latter was counted out on the 1.45 mark in that session.
