1907-03-23 (100lbs) [[Joe Percival]] w pts 10 [[Tommy Brown]], Ginnett’s Circus, Newcastle, England. Although no weights or billing were given it now seems certain that Percival was defending his 100lbs English title claim in this one and after ten well contested rounds he received the nod. Despite Brown being slower than Percival, he was the more positive of the pair, and the decision led to much derision. With that in mind, they were immediately matched again for the following month.
