1907-07-04 Tommy Burns w co 1 (20) Bill Squires, Mission Street Arena, Colma, San Francisco, California, USA - WORLD. Referee: James J. Jeffries. Starting out as if he meant business, Squires (181) charged into Burns (180), who initially stood off before tossing in a long right hand to the jaw that dropped the Australian. Although Squires made it to his feet he was still groggy and was soon decked again by a similar blow. Getting up for the second time Squires was a sitting target and a short right to the chin put him down again, this time to be counted out on the 2.08 mark.
