1907-12-21 (100lbs) Tommy Brown w pts 15 Frank Morcombe, Lynn Street Circus, West Hartlepool, England. Billed for the English 100lbs title, both men showed great effort and skill, with Morcombe using his left well and Brown looking to send in rights to head and body. Morcombe, who had reach advantages, was almost out in the third but by the 14th he was right back in contention. However, Brown proved to be the stronger of the pair, and following a grandstand finish he was given the decision.

With Brown fighting above the weight from there on the title was next claimed by James Easton within the confines of the newly formed flyweight division in June 1909.
