1908-02-10 Tommy Burns w co 4 (20) Jack Palmer, Wonderland, Mile End, London, England - WORLD. Referee: Robert Watson. On the attack right from the start as Palmer froze, Burns, who had the Englishman down twice in the first round, continued to batter away at him during the next two sessions. Finally, in the fourth, after Burns put Palmer down several more times the latter was counted out on his knees.

A couple of weeks later, Burns reportedly offered to fight James Tiger Smith, Gunner Moir and Bill Squires on the same night.
