1908-02-26 (130lbs) Joe Fletcher w pts 10 Boss Edwards, Royal Horticultural Hall, Westminster, London, England. Referee: J. T. Hulls. Made at 130lbs, right from the word go the exchanges were heavy in character with Fletcher using his left lead to good advantage while Edwards tried to get get inside. Subsequently, the action became ragged and stubborn as both men looked for an advantage, thus forcing the referee to be in the ring throughout the contest.

Although difficult to score the decision ultimately went to Fletcher, who claimed to be the English champion at weight on the result, although it would be the last time he made that poundage.
