1908-10-19 (104lbs) Curley Osborne w pts 20 Joe Percival, Royal Engineers Drill Hall, Leeds, England. Referee: Edward Humphreys. Advertised as being for the English 104lbs title, following much even fighting Osborne (104) took a decided lead in the ninth round when opening up with both hands and from thereon was never headed. After that session, Percival (104) was twice dropped to his knees and despite being dazed at times put up a determined struggle before going down clearly on points.

On 13 November, it was reported in the Sporting Life that Frank Morcombe should be recognised as the English 104lbs champion, but that was never backed up.
