1908-11-02 (124lbs) Ted Moore w pts 15 Bert Slark, NSC, Covent Garden, London, England. Referee: J. H. Douglas. Following a slowish start, the contest had warmed up by the fourth and in the next session Slark was dropped for a count of ‘five’ before taking the same time to arise from a further visit to the canvas in the sixth. The fighting got more even up until the 11th, but thereafter Moore proved to be the strongest and although Slark was occasionally in trouble he managed to last to the final bell.

Moore was just the latest in a line of men who would claim the English 124lbs title, but following the 11 February 1909 directive regarding weight classes there would be no more English 124lb title fights.
