1908-12-21 (110lbs) Sam Kellar w pts 20 Ralph Marshall, Scottish National AC, Glasgow, Scotland. Billed for the English 110lbs title, with both men on the limit, the fact that it was contested over two-minute rounds should have disqualified it from having any real credence. Regardless of that, it was a very fast fight with both men doing their utmost as they sought to find openings. There were no knockdowns, despite Marshall being a good puncher, and Kellar always seemed to be one step ahead with accurate leads that took him clear by the final bell.

Thereafter, Kellar campaigned in the new flyweight division.
