12 October (116lbs) Monte Attell nd-l pts 10 Danny Webster, Pacific AC, Los Angeles, California, USA. Made at 116lbs, Webster, who was cut over left eye early on, was presented with the Tom McCarey Championship Belt after both men had agreed to accept the three-way press decision. The Examiner and The Times gave the decision to Webster, while The Herald saw Attell as the winner. Following the fight, in which there were no knockdowns, Jim Kenrick of England challenged the winner.
