17 December (116lbs) Monte Attell drew 20 Danny Webster, Dreamland Rink, San Francisco, California, USA. Referee: Jack Welch. Billed for the world and American world title at 116lbs, it was fast from start to finish with Webster appearing to have the best of it. The general consensus was that Attell was extremely lucky to hold on to his title and that Webster now had a good claim to it.
