1910-02-03 (116lbs) Danny Webster nd-l pts 10 Frankie Conley, Exposition Rink, Portland, Oregon, USA. Made at 116lbs, with Webster billed as the champion, the contest was fast from start to finish, there never being much between them. When at close quarters Conley’s strength prevailed, and he dropped Webster in the second round before shaking him up several times in the third. It was only when Webster started to use the left jab-and-move routine that he had success, but too often he was drawn into a battle where he came off second best.

Following the fight, Conley was immediately matched to meet Monte Attell under full championship conditions.
