1910-04-08 (118lbs) Jimmy Walsh nd-w pts 10 Eddie Greenwald, The Hippodrome, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. Made at 118lbs, Walsh successfully defended his claim at the weight when outscoring Greenwald, who proved to be a pretty determined character. With the men all square after five rounds, Walsh went to the front in the sixth despite being cut over the left eye and started to work the body, smashing in both hands to good effect. Greenwald fought on gamely according to the Milwaukee Sentinel, but he could not contain Walsh, who consistently beat him to the punch while cantering to the press decision.
When twice meeting Philadelphia Pal Moore (nd-l pts 10 on 21 April at the Empire AC, Manhattan, NYC, New York and w pts 12 on 31 May at the Armory AA in Boston, Massachusetts), prior to fighting Sam Keller (nd-w pts 10 on 15 November at the Fairmount AC, Bronx, NYC), despite no weights being reported both those men were thought to be inside the weight even if Walsh was not.
