1910-11-17 (147lbs) Dixie Kid nd-drew 10 Willie Lewis, National SC, Manhattan, NYC, New York, USA. A return match believed to have been made at 147lbs saw Lewis put up a much better showing, even if both men appeared unwilling to fight at times. There were no knockdowns and there was frequent clinching, but when they did get going there was plenty of exciting action as first one and then the other sent in hard blows. With both Lewis and the Kid making it to the final bell their respective title claims remained intact.
