1910-12-05 December Bill Kyne w co 4 (20) Checker Ovenden, St James’ Hall, Newcastle, England. Billed for the British 112lbs title, Kyne (109) did not get going until the fourth round, but in that session he stormed into Ovenden (112), dazing him with a right to the jaw, before battering him to the canvas to be counted out. On 7 December, Joe Percival knocked out Jack Madden in the second round of a scheduled 20 at the Arbury Baths, Blackpool in yet another fight for the former that was thought to involve the British 106lbs title.
