1911-01-30 (126lbs) [[Jim Driscoll]] w rsc 7 (20) [[Spike Robson]], NSC, Covent Garden, London, England. Referee: J. H. Douglas. As in their previous contest, it was billed for the British 126lbs title and involved all of Driscoll’s championship claims at the weight. As a contest it was disappointing as after the first round Driscoll did very much as he pleased. This time round Driscoll gave what could only be described as a superlative display of boxing as he sent in jab after jab followed up with rights to head and body. For his part, Robson seemed bemused at times and on several occasions offered up his chin to be hit. Knocked down in the fifth, Robson was then battered and floored again in the sixth before the referee stopped the fight in the seventh when Driscoll was punching him all over the ring without reply. Driscoll won the Lonsdale Belt outright following the result.
