1911-10-16 Bill Ladbury w co 7 (20) Albert Cocksedge, Belgrave Rink, Leicester, England. Billed for the British 112lbs title, the boys were evenly matched with Ladbury possessing the heavier punch and Cocksedge seen as the cleverer. Unable to pin his man down earlier on, eventually Ladbury landed a solid left in the seventh which dropped Cocksedge and saw him counted out after banging his head heavily on the canvas. Despite his victory, Ladbury received limited recognition.
