1912-02-01 (158lbs) Jack Dillon nd-w pts 12 Billy Berger, The Auditorium, Youngstown, Ohio, USA. Although the fight was relatively even in six of the rounds contested, when Dillon did pick it up, landing vicious rights and lefts to Berger’s body, the challenger showed great fortitude when hanging in. In both the eighth and 12th Dillon looked for the punches that would finish Berger off, but somehow the latter survived by good use of the ring and clever movement. The Pittsburgh Post even saw it as a draw, so well did Berger perform.
