1912-06-17 (158lbs) Jack Dillon nd-w pts 12 George KO Brown, The Auditorium, Winnipeg, Canada. Referee: Battling Nelson. With both men inside 158lbs, Dillon risked his title claim at the weight, but was never in danger of losing as he did most of the leading despite the Greek always coming back. As the fight progressed, Dillon got better and better, sending in many telling blows to both head and body, and often standing toe to toe with his dangerous opponent without ever flinching. Afterwards, the general feeling was that only Eddie McGoorty amongst the current crop would give Dillon a real fight.
