1912-08-12 (158lbs) Jack Dillon nd-w co 4 (10) Billy Donovan, The Coliseum, Richmond, Indiana, USA. Made at 158lbs, according to the Richmond Palladium Dillon outclassed his opponent, knocking him down three times in the third round and sending him into dreamland after a flurry of blows during the fourth. There was never any doubt as to who would win, Dillon being on top from the opening bell and hitting far too hard for the game Donovan.
Having taken a short break, Dillon came back against Harry Ramsey (nd-w pts 6 at the Nonpareil AC, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on 11 October), with the latter inside 158lbs.
Next came Emmett Kid Wagner (nd-w pts 10 at the Point Grounds, Johnstown, Pennsylvania on 17 October) at 160lbs. Dillon was forced to pay forfeit when unable to make the weight.
Two days later, on 19 October, Dillon took on an old opponent in George Chip (nd-drew 6 at the Old City Hall, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) in a match made at 158lbs.
