1912-12-11 (158lbs) Jack Dillon nd-w pts 10 Gus Christie, Tomlinson Hall, Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. Referee: Tom Dillon. According to the Indianapolis Star, with Dillon’s title claim on the line both men made the required 158lbs at the 3pm weigh-in. In a fast and furious slugging match that had been relatively even, the fourth and fifth rounds saw Christie getting the better of it before Dillon came back strongly with solid right uppercuts. With Dillon well on top he dropped Christie with lefts and rights to the jaw in the tenth, but the latter got up and although under pressure the final bell came to his rescue.
