1913-01-29 (142lbs) Ray Bronson nd-w pts 10 Jimmy Perry, Virginia Avenue Auditorium, Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. Referee: Dave Porteous. Bronson risked his claim in this one, with both men inside 142lbs at the 3pm weigh-in. Claiming afterwards that he’d had trouble making the weight, Perry was under pressure from the third round onwards as Bronson closed down the range and concentrated on the body. Several times it looked as though he would be floored, but in the tenth he actually fell down of his own accord before being saved by the bell.
