1913-04-11 (145lbs) Spike Kelly nd-w pts 10 Billy Walters, Coliseum Skating Palace, Kenosha, Wisconsin, USA. In a match made at 145lbs with both men inside, the Chicago Tribune reported that the winner would claim the title despite Kelly’s recent defeat at the weight by Ferns. While Kelly the better man at close quarters and at range, it wasn’t until the seventh round that he cut loose to go clear.
